The Spot Sketch Challenge #117 with Stampin' Up! Forever Fern Bundle and Flowers for Every Season DSP

Hey there and Happy Tuesday!  If you're reading this you've survived Monday and well on your way to getting through the week!  I'm back with the rest of the Design Team over at The Spot Creative Challenge Blog with my take on a fun sketch challenge!

In trying to decide what to use for my sketch, I first went through some of my DSP.  The problem with that was that I really didn't want to cut diagonally through any of it but I finally decided on something that I felt wouldn't take away from the card design... The Flowers for Every Season DSP.  There were some subtle designs in the pack that I thought would work nicely.  What do you think?

Once I picked the DSP, I picked my colors.. Bumble Bee, Just Jade and Whisper White.  Once I had my colors, I picked my stamp set... Forever Fern!

For the inside I kept it really simple ..

I can always stamp something else inside once I decide who I'm sending this too.

Below is a list of the products used.  Have a wonderful day!  Blessings, Tina

The Spot Color Challenge #116 with Stampin' Up! Prized Peony Bundle

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I hope your week has gotten off to a good start!  I'm over at The Spot with my take on a cool color challenge this week!  I hope you'll take some time to stop by and check it out.

So for the challenge, you need to pick at least 3 of the colors for your card.  I chose Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo and Rich Razzleberry and used the beautiful Prized Peony Bundle.

I started off with an 11" x 4 1/4" half sheet of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card base. I added a 3 5/8" x 5" panel of Flirty Flamingo.  On another piece of Flirty Flamingo, some of the peony and leaf images from the Prized Peony Bundle were stamped tone-on-tone in the upper right corner and the lower left corner.  The stamped panel was cut with the 2nd from the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I added some light sponging of Flirty Flamingo Ink along the edges of the panel.  Linen thread was run around the bottom of the panel twice and tied in a bow on the left side.  Dimensionals were then added to the stitched rectangle panel to adhere it over the other Flirty Flamingo panel on the card base.  The sentiment from the Prized Peony stamp set was stamped on a scrap of a Rich Razzleberry Cardstock with Versamark Ink and then embossed in White.  I used one of the circle labels die from the Tasteful Labels Dies to cut out the sentiment and adhered with with Multipurpose Liquid Glue directly onto the right bottom of the card front.  Flirty Flamingo, Rich Razzleberry, and Mint Macaron were used to cut out the Peony, leaves and some greenery from the Forever Flourishing Dies. Some tone-on-tone sponging was added to the peony layers before assembling.   The leaves were adhered directly onto the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the Peony was adhered with glue dots.  Some mini dimensionals were added to the flower in between some of the layers to add dimension to the flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you don't have this bundle yet.. well you need it!  It is really fabulous!   Have a blessed day!  Tina

Stampin' Up! Playful Pets Suite

Hello there!  It's Thursday which brings us so much closer to Friday!  Yay!  For some reason I woke up at 3am again.  As soon as I had my coffee made, I was headed into the Craft Room to play with the amazing Playful Pets Suite!  There is so much fabulousness in this set if you are a dog person.. like me! lol

I love a good gatefold card and this adorable doggie was perfect for it!

The Pampered Pets Bundle is awesome in itself but pair it with this beautiful Playful Pets DSP and it's a winner for sure!

I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for the outside labels as well as the inside Stitched Scallop Rectangle for the perfect spot to write a little note!

Have a blessed day!  Tina

Happy Birthday to me and Whale Of a Time Suite!

Hey there.. hope you are having a fabulous day!  I'm soooo excited that I finally received my first order from Stampin' Up! after the launch of the new catalog.  It came last night and I was honestly too tired from working to play then.  I went to bed early and woke up at 3:30am and headed first to put on coffee and then to stamp a little.  Can I just say that I'm IN LOVE with the new Whale of a Time Suite?!    It's sooo fun!  I really wish I could have stayed at home and played all day!

So here's my first card with it.  I'm sure you'll see much, much more!

From the colors in the DSP, to the images in the Whale Done Stamp Set, to the Punch, and the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder... this is one fabulous suite!  I used Pretty Peacock and Granny Apple Green in my card today!  So simple just to cut some panels from DSP and cardstock with those Stitched Rectangle Dies and then matt them to add a pop of color here and there.  I just adore it!
