SIP #169 Background Stamp Challenge with Concord & 9th Thankful Leaves Bundle

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I've been a bit under the weather the last few days but am finally beginning to feel a bit better!  I thought about taking the week off from crafting but I loved the new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge so much I decided to get in gear and get a card made!

I LOVE background stamps and one of my new favorites are the turnabout background stamps from Concord & 9th!  This Thankful Leaves Turnabout and coordinating dies are awesome!!

My stamping was done on SU Whisper White Cardstock with Merry Merlot, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, and Daffodil Delight!  The stitched panel was adhered to a Grapefruit Grove layer and then put on a Merry Merlot Cardbase.  The leaf was cut in the same colors.  The "thanks" die cut sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases Die set from Concord & 9th.  I cut it out in Merry Merlot twice and backed it with a layer of white so that it would show up more over the skeleton leaf.

Here's how I finished up the inside:

The You are the best sentiment on the inside is from a Simon Says Stamp Stamp Set  called "You Matter"  I added two of the leaves and a paint splatter stamped at the bottom right in Merry Merlot and Grapefruit Grove to finish this one off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP #168 Tic-Tac-Toe Simple Card

Hi Friends!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I haven't really been feeling well this week but hopefully I'll be back to normal soon!  This week's Tic-Tac-Toe challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper was a fun one but I totally took the easy way out and went super simple!

So I chose right across the bottom row with die-cut, green and twine.

This was so simple I feel a little guilty but you know sometimes simple works really well.  I don't even have Dimensionals on this one.  Everything is glued flat onto the card.   The twine bow is adhered with a glue dot and I added 3 little gold enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

September Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop - The First!

Hi Friends!  Happy Sunday!  I hope you've been having a wonderful weekend!  It's Scrapbook Sunday and this month's theme is the First!  There are so many firsts you could scrap but I decided to go with my grandson's first birthday!  I rarely scrap one picture to a page but this one was so special I thought it could use a page of it's own!

Beckett had a Wild One! Lumberjack theme birthday party and I felt like the awesome new Festive Farmhouse DSP was perfect for this theme!  I LOVE the Shiplap paper... can you tell?  I used an entire sheet on one page.. another thing I rarely do.

I also used the In The Woods Framelits Dies to cut out the trees in Basic Black Cardstock as well as more of the Festive Farmhouse DSP ... this time in the plaid.  I love that the trees have little cut out pieces that add more dimension!   I added a black circle tab punch to the side of the double mounted picture with "party" from the Tabs For Everything Stamp Set, heat embossed on the punch in white.  Can I just say again how much I adore this DSP???  I'm going to order a couple of extras pack of it before they sell out!

If you're interested in any of the products used, there is a list at the very bottom of my post!  Hope you'll hop all the way through for more First Inspiration!   Blessings, Tina

PCC Inspiration Challenge #307

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  Paper Craft Crew has a fun inspiration challenge for you this week!  I was easily inspired since I love all things coffee!

I am so into the new Festive Farmhouse DSP so of course I had to use it on my card along with the Coffee Cup Framelits paired with the retired Merry Cafe stamp set.

I love the Ship Lap Pattern as well as the plaids in the Festive Farmhouse DSP!   I kept this pretty simple with a Cherry Cobbler, White, Black and Mossy Meadow color scheme.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP #167 Large Sentiment Challenge with Stampin' Up! Merry Christmas To All Bundle

Hi Friends!  It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!  This week is a super fun Large Sentiment Challenge.

Also, to help you out with your own Large Sentiment, there is a Prize to two lucky participants (U.S. Residents only) of the Concord & 9th Bold & Brushy Upper Case Stamp Set.  Make sure you play along this week for a chance to win one!

I just received my Stampin' Up! Merry Christmas to All Bundle and that seamed perfect for this challenge!  I also used the awesome new Alpine Sports Thinlits Dies paired with the fun Festive Farmhouse DSP and I think this one is a winner!

I love this combination!  Such a fun card layered on Very Vanila Cardstock and then a Basic Black Cardbase!  The Merry was cut out of Basic Black twice and layered to give it a more substatial look.  I heat embossed the Christmas in white on Basic Black cardstock and used my trimmer to trim it as close as possible.   I always need a ton of Christmas cards so you'll see a lot of those from me in the next couple of months!  I try to give a handmade card to all of my coworkers, family and friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP Challenge #166 - Buttons, Brads, and Sequins with SU Cross-Stitched Christmas

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I know for many of us Tuesday will feel a lot like Monday since yesterday was Labor Day!  I did work for a while on Labor day but spent some time relaxing in the afternoon.  Oh and I did a bit of stamping as well!

This week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is Buttons, Brads and Sequins!

I had a brand new Stampin' Up! stamp set that I wanted to play with called Cross Stitched Christmas!  I've seen a lot of cross-stitch look stamp sets and have been wanting to try one so when the Christmas Catalog from SU came out with this fun set I knew I had to have it.  If you are not a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, this stamp set will be available to you on September 5th!

I still need to do a little work on lining this one up but I LOVE it!  I think I love it so much because I was never good at cross stitching!  I love that it gives you the look of stitching without the stress.  My color combination for this was Granny Apple Green, Real Red, and Call Me Clover.  I did some layering with the background being Granny Apple Green on Thick Whisper White Cardstock.  My back red layer was embossed using the new Corrugated Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I did use a button in Real Red to bring in the 3rd red element!  I thought it looked super cute with the white and silver twine tied in a bow.  For the upper layer of Granny Apple Green,  I used the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder but only did partial embossing.  I added my stamped sentiment in Call Me Clover and button at the upper portion. I added a few confetti sequins to add another challenge element.  Super fun card that gives me lots of inspiration for more Christmas cards!
