The Spot Challenge #134 - Sketch Challenge with Stampin' Up! Gnome for the Holidays

Hey there!  Happy Tuesday or as I like to call it.. I survived Monday!  We have a brand new sketch over at The Spot for you this week.  Check it out!

I took a few liberties with this one but it was fun to see what everyone on the Design Team came up with!  You'll definitely want to check out because there are some amazing designs this week!

I used the adorable Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set because I just haven't used the Gnomes enough this year!  I used a little different color combination this time with lots of Rich Razzleberry since I used two strips of the Perfectly Plaid in Rich Razzleberry and White.

I stamped the Gnome for the Holidays Tree first with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and used my Stampin' Blends to color it in.  At first I thought I would stamp and fussy cut out both the tree and the Gnome but after I colored it, I decided to stamp the Gnome next to it and make a little scene with it.  Once I colored in my Gnome, I used the Stitched Labels Dies to cut it out and then completed the scene by filling in the ground and the sky.  Because the label was a little higher than I first expected, I also, added a little to my tree by coloring it up higher than the stamp and finishing it off with a Black Marker fine tip marker to make it look like the stamp was higher than it was.  I hope that makes sense and that I was a little successful in that.  I also used the fine tip marker to draw a line to ground everything.  I was really happy with how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!   Blessings, Tina

The Spot Challenge #133 - Color Challenge

Hi There and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you've having an awesome day! We have a new color challenge for you over at The Spot this week, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Pretty Peacock!  These colors are sooo pretty together!  Hope you'll give it a try!

I used the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set for my card.  There were so many options and although I really think this is an wonderful palette for a fall card, I thought I would go for something a little tropical.

I used Rich Razzleberry for the 11" x 4 1/4" top folding card base and layered on a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie that was embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder (one of my all time favs!)  I used My Stampin' Blends in the three challenge colors to color in the one large and two smaller flower images.  I used the coordinating In The Tropics dies to cut out the floral images as well as cut the three small die cut flowers.  The sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and then cut it with one of my stitched rectangles leaving the sentiment on the right side of the die cut.  I adhered smaller flowers with Multipurpose Adhesive and the larger flower with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I finished this off with three rhinestones colored with Stampin' Blends in Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie.   I have all of the products used linked below if interested.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings!  Tina

The Spot Challenge #132 - Clean and Simple Fall Card

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  This week over at The Spot Challenge we have a Clean and Simple Fall Card Challenge.

I kept mine super simple although I did a little bit of die cutting..

I did use some bold fall colors though.  My base was Cajun Craze, my top layer was Pumpkin Pie and the two leaves were Cajun Craze and Bumble Bee.   It's really hard for me to leave this alone.. I wanted to add some splatters, some bling, or something so I did add a little linen thread to finish it off.  I think it would still qualify for Clean and Simple.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

OSAT BLOG HOP - TRICK OR TREATS!

Hi There!  Welcome to the October 2020 One Stamp At A Time's Trick or Treats Blog Hop!  If you've already been hopping, thanks so much for continuing on!  If you are starting here at my blog, make sure that you hop all the way through for fabulous inspiration from Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the Globe!  I am amazed at the projects each and every month... so very much talent!

For my card this month, I used the Fireside Trimmings Bundle.. such a great stamp set and the coordinating dies are awesome!

The parts and pieces of this bundle are so much fun to play around with!  I made a Halloween card for my daughter.  She just got married and her new last name begins with an "H" so I decided to make the home decor a little like what we would do and used the mirror frame as an empty frame and added an "H" cut out in black from the Playful Alphabet Dies.  I really struggled with that H.  I think I ended up using it upside down from how it was intended.  Oh well... I still like it.   I used my blends to color in the fire place and the coordinating elements.  The dies had the awesome little bat banner for the fireplace and I added the sentiment right over than on the mantle.   The texture on the wall is from the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.. I love that folder!

For my little treat holder, I went with my tried and true simple 6 x 6" DSP treat holder.  It is so simple.  I used the Magic In This Night DSP and decorated it with the same bat garland that I used for the mantle.  I added a thin strip of Basic Black cardstock for my handle this time instead of ribbon.   For instructions on how to make this super simple treat holder click here!

Thanks so much for hopping by and checking out my projects.  If you are interested in any of the products used, they will be listed below the blog roll.

To continue on, just click the name directly under mine (Tina Riddle) on the blog roll for more Trick or Treat Inspiration!  Blessings, Tina

The Spot Challenge #131 - Case the Designer - Sara Levin!

Hey and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  We had a wonderful time in Knoxville.  My daughter was married on Friday and it was an absolutely gorgeous day for a wedding!  It was not too hot and not too cold!  It finally feels like Fall and that makes me super happy!

So today at The Spot Creative challenge we have a super fun new card challenge up!  We are casing one of our Design Team... Sara Levin.  Her blog is The Artful Inker and she has lots of inspiration for you!

The card I chose to case is one that she did for Split Panels Sketch Challenge at The Spot a while back.  Her card is absolutely beautiful!  Here's the card...

I really loved the Ornate Floral 3D Embossed panel peeking out from between the layers so that was my inspiration.  I wanted to change it up a bit so I used different products but I think it has the same feel.

Here's my card...

I used the gorgeous Peony Garden DSP and the coordinating color palette of Petal Pink, Whisper White, and Gray Granite!  My friend Polly calls Gray Granite, Grayeige!  lol  I think of that everytime I use it as it really is a type of Gray/Beige combination that works so well with light colors like Petal Pink.  Below is a list of all of the products that I used today.  Hope you will head over to her blog and find something to case yourself!

Have a blessed day!  Tina
