The Spot Challenge #130 - Sketch Challenge with Stampin' Up! Press On Stamp Set

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I have been so busy I never posted anything last week!  I guess I took a vacation from my crafting.  This week I'm back full strength and show casing one of my lifetime loves.... Coffee!  I used the fun Stampin' Up! Press On Stamp Set this time!

The Spot has a fun sketch challenge up this week!  Check it out!

I was looking through some DSP to use on my card front and when I found the beautiful Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper, it just screamed coffee at me!  lol

Doesn't this beautiful DSP look like it is sprinkled with ground coffee?!?  Ok, maybe I just have coffee on my mind, which is certainly nothing unusual!  When I adhered the Gilded Autumn DSP to the Early Espresso Cardstock, I decided it really needed a pop of color so I added Bermuda Bay and I really love how it turned out.  The banner and one of the leaves was cut from the beautiful brushed metallic cardstock.  It is certainly beautiful and I'm not sure that the picture does it justice!

Here's how I finished up the inside...

OSAT Blog Hop - You've Got This! September 2020

Hi There!  Hope you're having a wonderful day.  It's that time again.. time for another One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop!  This month's theme is You've Got This!  If you have already been hopping, thanks so much for continuing on.  If you are starting with my blog, you'll definitely want to hop all the way through and check out all of the inspiration from some Amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the Globe!  I am so honored to be a part of this amazing group and I find so much inspiration each and every hop!  So grab some coffee, tea, or whatever relaxes you and enjoy!

My mind went directly to two of my granddaughters when I saw this month's theme!  As you know with the Covid-19 Pandemic, everything for school is so different from the norm.  I feel like these two can use lots of encouragement and reminders that they have this!

First here is the card I made for Taylor...

The amazing "Make a Difference" Stamp set allows you to personalize your cards!  Taylor has a lot of changes this year.  She is having to wear a mask all day in class, can't sit with her friends at lunch and has recently made the Middle School Softball Team.   I used the Forever Fern Stamp Set and the Note Cards and Envelopes.  I used Just Jade, Soft Sea Foam, Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock Inks and backed my front layer with Just Jade Cardstock before adding to the front of the Note Card.

Next up is Laken's card..

Laken will be doing school remotely as she recently had brain surgery and isn't fully released from her surgeon yet.  This has been a hard time for her as she really wants to be at school with her friends and of course playing softball.  I know she's going to need a lot of encouragment as she gets used to her new normal.  I used the "Sending Sunshine" stamp set and the Note Cards and Envelopes for this one.  Again, I used the "Make a Difference" Stamp Set to personalize it for her. The inks used were Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Just Jade and Bumble Bee.  I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut out the scallop rectangle and backed it with a layer of Bermuda Bay Cardstock.  I took about 1/8" off of the top of the note card so that the scallop would be more centered.

I also made a book mark for both girls with the same stamp set to coordinate with their cards..

I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and a 2" x 5" strip of cardstock for the bookmarks.

If you haven't tried personalizing a card with a name, you really should!  The Make a Difference Stamp is so easy to use!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Blessings, Tina

The Spot Challenge #127 - Fun Fold Card Challenge Time!

Hi There!  I hope your week is off to a great start.  I had a long Holiday weekend with Monday's Labor Day Holiday.  I always love long weekends!  I waited until the last minute to make my Design Team Card for The Spot Challenge.  Why do I do that?  I do love the challenge though... it's a Fun Fold Challenge!

So It says pick your favorite fun fold.. I don't know that I have a favorite.  The one I used today is sometimes called a joy fold or a flip fold.

Here's a look at the inside..

Here are the measurements for this card:

Misty Moonlight Card Base:  4 1/4 x 8 3/4" scored at 5 1/2"
Old Olive Panel layer : 3 1/4 x 4 1/2"
Whisper White layer 3" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Trimming The Town DSP 3" x 4" for the front left side and 2 3/4" x 4" for the front right flap
Stamp Sets Front sentiment:  Tree Angle
Stamp Set for Inside Sentiments:  Itty Bitty Christmas
Dies:  Layering Oval Dies and Stitched Shape Dies

I totally cheated and used the Houses and Trees from the Trimming The Town DSP for this card.   It just seemed silly to stamp and color the houses and trees when I could just cut directly from the DSP..... right?  Even though the dies coordinate with the DSP images, I just fussy cut them since they are super easy shapes with straight lines, etc.  When I decided to use the ovals, I pulled out my brand new Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine and let me tell you, it is SWEET!  It was so easy to run through and it cut beautifully!  I'm so excited.  I can't believe I waited this long to use it!  I was late to the party with the Trimming The Town Suite and it is absolutely beautiful!  I'm so glad I jumped on board that train!  A link to my supplies are listed below in case you are interested.

Have a wonderful day!  Blessings, Tina

The Spot Challenge #126 - Anything But a Card!

Hi there.  Hope you are having an awesome week.  I struggled with my Design Team project this week at The Spot but finally pulled through!  This week's theme is "Anything But a Card".

I had one over to Polly's house on Friday night.  Polly is my BFF and crafting buddy.  We have been crafting on most Friday nights for about 10 years now.  She was working on some birthday cards and I was watercoloring some Gnome images and trying to wrap my brain around what I would make for my DT project at The Spot this week.  Finally on Sunday morning I decided I would use a couple of the images I had colored and make some shaker tags.

I started putting the tags together and realized that I forgot to punch a hole in the top.  Then I came up with something that I thought was pretty cool.  I ran my ribbon around the inside of the oval and tied it at the top.  Not only did that give me a place to tie on the tag but it also covered the Dimensional strips I used to create my shaker tag.  check it out!

I added the little white scallop that cut from the front to the back to give me a place to add a name..

Thanks a bunch for stopping by!  A list of the products used are below.  Blessings, Tina
