SIP #198 Wings of Wonder - Brusho Background and SU Butterfly Gala Stamp Set

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I've had a crazy week or so while we are renovating our kitchen!  Most of my kitchen is currently packed up and in my craft room.  That being said, I was lucky to have been able to get to a stamp set that would work for this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!  This week's Challenge is all about Wings.  I had a butterfly set in fairly close proximity to my desk so that's what I used!  I think Fairy's would be a fun twist though, don't you??

Luckily, when organizing some of my craft supplies a few weeks ago, I found some Brusho Watercolor Backgrounds I made a while back.  I decided to use some of those in today's card!

I actuallly used parts of several backgrounds.  Two of them were green with touches of mustard/gold. Those two were cut into stitched rectangles using the SU Stitched Rectangle Framelits.  I matted the smaller panel in Black before adhering it over the large Rectangle.   One of the Brusho Backgrounds was mostly gold so I used that one to stamp my butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and then punched them out and adhered just the body of the butterflies onto the front card panel with Gina K Connect Glue so that their wings could be lifted up.  The greenery was cut in Black from a Concord & 9th die from their Just Because Bundle.  I heat embossed the sentiment "a little note", also from the SU Butterfly Gala Stamp Set, in Black.  Finally I added just a few splatters of White Paint and then mounted the rectangles onto a Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110# Card Base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina
