Hi there! Hope your Tuesday is off to a good start! Tuesdays are usually pretty good days for me as anything is better than a Monday! We have a super fun challenge over at The Spot this week that is a Technique Challenge this time... Emboss Resist. It's really one of my favorite techniques.
I just got my hands on a brand new stamp set called Dragonfly Garden that will be out in the new Mini Catalog coming out in January so I had to use it... of course!
This was just such a simple card but oh so pretty. I started with a panel of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped my floral image from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Versamark Ink and then heat embossing with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Once it was completely dry, I used an oval make up brush to blend Old Olive Ink at the bottom of the panel and Pool Party Ink at the top of the panel. Once I was happy with the look of the ink blending, I wiped the embossed floral image with a Paper Towel so that no ink was sitting on the embossing. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the right side and then used one of my Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out the panel. I matted it with Whisper White so that it would help the white floral image to pop. I ran some Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon across the bottom and tied it in a knot on the left side, directly over the stems of the floral image. On a piece of scrap Whisper White Cardstock, I heat embossed my Dragonfly in White and used an Oval brush to apply Bumble Bee Ink over the dragonfly. I used a paper towel to remove any ink from the embossing and then used my Dragonfly punch to cut it out! I used some Dimensionals to attach the matted panel onto a Mossy Meadow Cardbase and then added a few Gilded Gems to finish it off! If you are a Demonstrator, and you attended On Stage, you had the opportunity to get this bundle extra early rather than waiting until December 1st to preorder it. If you are not a Demonstrator, you can get your hands on this beautiful bundle in January during Sale-a-bration!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! Blessings, Tina
