Hi There! Hope your week is off to a great start! I love the Case the Designer Challenges we have over at The Spot and this week has to be my favorite! It's the fabulous Dena Rekow!
It seriously took me about 1 second to decide which of her fabulous designs to case! When I saw her card last week for The One Step At A Time Blog Hop, my jaw literally dropped.. it was just so gorgeous!! Here's her card that I am casing!
Isn't it absolutely amazing!! For the link to her blog post for that card.. click here
Here's my case for her card...
The card base was an 11" x 4-1/4" half sheet of Thick Basic White cardstock, stored at 5-1/2". I used the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Basic White for the background. I used the folder with the planks running horizontally since I thought it gave it a "ship lap" feel. On the Brilliant Wings die cut I used the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set. I Loved the set that Dena used but I don't have it so I just pulled out one that I felt would work. My flowers were stamped using Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, and Melon Mambo Inks. The stamp set that I used for the Happy Birthday Sentiment was the Posted for You stamp Set. I put the diecut in my Stamparatus so that I could stamp it more than once with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink if needed but ended up stamping it also in Versamark so that I could clear emboss it. The embossing really helped it stand out! Oh and of course I had to add some splatters using my Wink of Stella and last but not least I added 3 Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to finish it up!
Here's the inside..
I used another of the larger Brilliant Wings Diecuts for the inside and the same stamps and colors that I used on the larger butterfly on the outside. The sentiment "Celebrate" came from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings, Tina
