Growing in Unity Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to The Growing in Unity Blog Hop!  If you've already been hopping, thanks so much for continuing on.  If you've started with my blog, please make sure to take the hop for lots of Unity Inspiration!  I have two cards to share with you today.

My first card is all about coffee!  I've used the Fall To Go Stamp Set along with the Coffee Lovers Paper Pack!

I stamped my cup with Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto a sheet of Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  The cup was colored with Zig Clean Color Markers... they blend beautiful onto the Bristol Smooth  Cardstock!  The cup is so big and beautiful that I almost didn't use a sentiment at all but I realized there was some blank space at the bottom of the cup that was just enough room.  Then I did the unthinkable... I cut the blessed off of the sentiment.  But don't worry... I cut it in such a way that if I want to add it back to stamp the full sentiment, it will fit back in like a puzzle piece.  Isn't the background paper from the Coffee Lovers Paper Pack beautiful!  I matted the background in Black and then added some mustard lace trim that I thought fit the color scheme nicely.   After cutting the cup image out with a stitched rectangle die, I added it to the cardfront with some foam squares at the top and the bottom and avoided the middle where the lace trim was.

My next card is a simple Christmas Card using the Yuletide Border Background Stamp and the A Joyous Season Sentiment Kit Stamp Set.  It has such beautiful Christmas greetings!

The background border stamp was stamped in Soft Suede Ink and colored with Stampin Blend Alcohol Markers.  I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out a panel and added it to a Cherry Cobbler A2 Cardbase.  I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Neenah Classic Solar White Cardstock first with Versamark, and then with Real Red Ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The sentiment was cut out with a smaller stitched rectangle die and added with foam squares onto the middle of the card panel.  I finished this one off with three sparkling gems.

SIP Challenge #202 - We're back with a Designer's Choice!

Happy Tuesday!  I'm sooo excited that Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge is BACK!  Our Challenges will now run for 2 weeks and will be up every other Tuesday!  We're starting off right with a Designer's Choice!  That's another big Yay!

I have to tell you that I'll probably be wearing you out with Christmas Cards, especially on Designer's Choice Challenges.  I absolutely LOVE the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  There are sooo many awesome sets and bundles to choose from.  Today's card was a mix of the Beautiful Boughs Dies and the Tidings All Around Stamp Set.  I also used some of the Wrapped in Plaid 6x6" DSP.

For the greenery, I did a light wash of Shaded Spruce and Call Me Clover onto Watercolor Paper but used the white of the Paper as well in the die cuts to mimic snow tipped branches.  My thick Whisper White Cardstock has a 5 1/2" x 4" layer of Wraped in Plaid DSP.  I ran a piece of the Cherry Cobbler and White twine (retired) across the top and tied it in a bow on the left side.I adhered the greenery and the pine cones with liquid adhesive directly onto the front panel.  I used a scrap of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock to cut my label and heat embossed the sentiment in White.  To finish it off I added three spraking jewels.  I love how this one turned out and hope that you do too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you are interested in the Stampin' Up! Supplies that I used, the list of products is at the end of this post.

Simple Christmas Card with Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid Bundle

Am I the only one that loves a super cute card that is also super simple??  Well I promise you that there are so many options with the new Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid Bundle!

I only used two colors in this simple and fun card... Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler!  My card base was an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, scored at 5 1/2" inches.  I used my Stitched Rectangle Dies (2nd from the largest size) to cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.  The sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set was stamped in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed in White.  I stamped three of the Plaid Christmas Trees from the set onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and then used the coordinating Pine Tree Punch to punch them out.  I ran Cherry Cobbler and White Twine (retired) aross the upper center section of the Cherry Cobbler layer and then added it to my card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The two side Christmas Trees were added with adhesive directly to the front panel.  The center Christmas Tree was popped up with Dimensionals.  This was so super simple but really pretty!  I can't wait to use this same design in more colors!

Christmas Card with Stampin' Up! Cup of Christmas Bundle and Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set

If you know me at all you know how much I LOVE coffee!  I have soooo many coffee stamp and die sets that I wasn't 100% sure if I needed it.  Well let me tell you... I did!  The dies are gorgeous on their own!  I may be able to use up a lot of retired Christmas DSP and patterned paper with these and the candy cane is adorbs!

There are also two awesome little tag shaped dies that are perfect to punch a small hole in and die onto a cup handle with twine.  The stamp set has two super cute little stamps that say enjoy or yum but I may not use this one with a gift or gift card so I decided to use the adorable Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp set and stamped the "believe" sentiment and cut it into a tag. For this card I used some retired Lawn Fawn Christmas patterned paper but these would be super cute with any Christmas themed paper I think!  Isn't that candy cane from the dies just so adorable!!!

Christmas card with Unity Stamp Co. A Joyous Season Sentiment Kit from October 2016

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I wanted to take a minute to share the beautiful Stamp Set I chose from Unity as my gift for participating in Growing in Unity!  It's such a fun Christmas set (which of course I can always use!) called A Joyous Season Sentiment Kit from October 2016!

I really wanted to make a card  but I hadn't felt very good today and walked into my Craft Room trying to find something easy when I noticed two things!  The first thing was an ink blended panel that I made a couple of weeks ago and hadn't used.  The second thing was this awesome A Joyous Season Sentiment Kit.  How simple was it to stamp a couple of images in Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto the Ink blended panel and add the sentiment.  So simple I felt a little guilty.. lol  I clear embossed the sentiment I stamped from the kit to make it stand out just a bit more.  I cut the panel out with a Stitched Rectangle and matted it in Black and ran some black and white twine around it before adding it to a 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.

Have a wonderful day!  Blessings, Tina
