Hi There! I hope you're week is off to a fantastic start! Since it is Tuesday, I'm back over with The Spot Challenge Design Team with my take on a fun Inspiration Photo Challenge!
Hello and Happy Tuesday! It finally warmed up here and is beginning to feel like Middle Tennessee again! We had 55 degrees on Saturday and the sun shone bright. All of the snow has finally melted and I hope we don't see any more snow any time soon!
Over at the Spot this week, we have a fun slim line card challenge...
I decided to pull out my Birds and Branches Bundle because I had an idea...
I'm not sure that my slim line is the same measurements as everyone else makes them. I cut my Coastal Cabana 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock to 8-1/2" x 7" and scored the 7" side at 3-1/2". It makes a nice size that fits perfectly in a business envelope (I'm not a fan of making envelopes!). I added a layer of 8" x 3" Bermuda Bay Cardstock as a Matt and my top layer is the beautiful woodgrain DSP from the Tasteful Textures DSP that was cut at 7-3/4" x 2-3/4". I then used my stitched shapes dies to cut out 3 circles out of the woodgrain panel. I used mini dimensionals to top of the woodgrain layer and then inserting the circles back into the holes with multipurpose adhesive. I stamped the birds nests in Soft Suede onto Crumb Cake Cardstock and cut off a little of the sides of them so they would insert into the holes easily. The birds were stamped onto Basic White Cardstock in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Ink. I added some greenery from the coordinating dies in Just Jade. The felt flowers from the Flower Cactus Product Medley were added with Multipurpose adhesive onto the greenery. The sentiment from the Flowering Cactus Stamp Set was stamped onto thin strip of Basic White with Calypso Coral Ink and adhered with mini dimensionals.
Have a beautiful day and a wonderful week. Blessings, Tina
Hi There and Happy Tuesday! Not sure about the weather in your part of the world but here in Middle Tennessee it is cold and icy! Freezing rain is NOT my friend.. so I'm hanging out at home.
This week over at The Spot, we have a challenge you're sure to love if you're like me and need to stock up on Birthday Cards!
I just got my preorder of the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle so of course, I had to crack it open and ink it up! Such a fun new bundle and that coordinating Butterfly Bijou DSP is fabulous!
My color inspiration came from the Butterfly Bijou DSP I used for my background. I cut it at 3-3/4" x 5" and matted it with a thin Just Jade Cardstock matt and layered it on a top folding 11" x 4-1/4" Bermuda Bay Cardstock, scored at 5-1/2". I added a Stitched Nested Dies Label cut in Just Jade and embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. The butterflies were stamped onto Basic White Cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with various Stampin' Blends. I used three of the colored butterflies from the stamp set and fussy cut one small butterfly from one of the sheets of DSP. I added a thin Basic White sentiment strip cut at an angle and stamped in Bermuda Bay with the "Happy Birthday" from the Brushed Blooms Stamp Set. (I wanted a small sentiment so as much of the Ornate Floral flowers and butterflies could show). Finally I added a triple bow of White Twine on the right side and 3 Adhesive Backed Blue Gems and called it beautiful!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings, Tina
For this cute fun fold card, I started with a Highland Heather 11" x 4 1/4" half sheet of card stock and scored the 11" side at 2-1/4", 3-5/8", 7-3/8", and 8 3/4". Burnish all of the score lines so that from each side you have a valley fold and mountain fold so the front panel stands out. The outer most panels are matted with 2-1/8" x 4-1/8" Mossy Meadow Cardstock and then DSP over that measuring 2" x 4". The middle panels are matted with 1-1/4" x 4-1/8" Mossy Meadow Cardstock and 1-1/8" x 4" DSP. The Middle Panel for both the front and back are matted with 3-5/8" x 4-1/8" Mossy Meadow and the focal panel of Basic White measuring 3-1/2" x 4". Prior to adhering the focal panel, I stamped the heart shaped cactus in Mint Macaron with some Mossy Meadow sponged on the upper and left side of the image prior to stamping. I stamped the cactus flowers in Highland Heather onto a scrap of Basic White and used the coordinating dies to cut it out and then popped it up with Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in the upper right with Mossy Meadow Ink. I ran some Linen Thread around the matted layer three times and tied it in a bow on the lower left side prior to adhering it with Multipurpose Adhesive onto the Highland Heather Panel. I finished it off with three Mint Macaron adhesive-backed sequins.. honestly those may have been left over from a Paper Pumpkin kit!
Hello and Happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a fabulous week!! It's time for yet another new card challenge over at The Spot and this week we have a fun color combination for you!
