PCC #299 Color Challenge with Stampin' Up! Lilypad Lake Bundle

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  I'm finally back over with my friends at the Paper Craft Crew after a few weeks off.  I am soooo super excited about this week's challenge colors!  Check these out!

http://papercraftcrew.com/pcc299-color-challenge/

So you only have to use 3 of the 4 colors but I used all of them!  I combined two of my favorite things... first of all my love of all things nautical and my love of watercolor backgrounds!

I used Bristol Smooth Cardstock for my top layer and did some watercolor smooshing on a long acrylic block to make my background.  It was pretty much a color blocking of Broken China Distress Ink on the bottom, Mustard Seed Distress Ink in the middle, and Picked Raspberry on the very top.  The bird, lily and lily pads were stamped onto Bristol Smooth as well and watercolored with Zig Clean Color Markers.  I used the coordinating Lily Pad Dies to cut everything out.  I used my Misti to stamp my sentiment in Versafine Black Ink and added three clouds from the Up and Away Thinlits.

Here's how I finished out the inside...

Thanks so much for stopping by!  A list of products that I used is at the bottom of this post if interested.  Blessings!  Tina

SIP #159 - Polkadots!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Do you love Polkadots?  If you do then this week's Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge #159 is right up your alley!  Personally I love them!

I went soooo easy with this one that I'm a tad bit embarassed but not really!  LOL

This was such an easy card!  I layered some whisper white on an A2 Lovely Lipstick Card Base that had a piece of the 2018-2020 In Color 6x6 DSP Stack in Lovely Lipstick polka dots adhered to the front.  I ran a small piece of Whisper White ribbon (retired) around the front layered panels before glueing it down.  I added a Pearlized Doily over it with  Multipurpose liquid glue in the middle section.  I layered on a stitched Lovely Lipstick Circle and adhered to the doily with dimensionals.  On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock I stamped some of the flowers from the Love What You Do Stamp Set in Powder Pink on the background.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set over the flowers with Lovely Lipstick Ink and then cut out a smaller circle with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and adhered it over the Lovely Lipstick Circle.  I finished it off with three Pearlized White Sequins.   I love when the patterned paper does most of the work for you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP Challenge #158 Christmas in July!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Have you started your Christmas Cards yet?  Well here's a great opportunity to get a start on them!  Stamp, Ink, Paper has a Christmas in July Challenge this week!

I decided to go with two things.. A)  I wanted something easy  and B) I wanted a different color combination.  Well I think I came up with a super easy card that fits the bill!

This week's card is all about some of the fabulous stamps and dies from Concord & 9th!  My background was the Sketched Stripes Background Stamp.  I used the Christmas Cheer Bundle,  and the Blooms Fill In Bundle as well!  Super fun, super easy and super cute I think!

SIP Challenge #157 - Designer's Choice - Concord and 9th Geode Bundle

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you've been having a great week so far!  Tomorrow is Independence Day in the U.S. so many of us will have short work weeks.  It sure is nice to have a day off in the middle of the week to spend with friends and family.  I hope you'll have time to celebrate our country and our freedoms with your loved ones if you live in the U.S.

Today is my all time favorite challenge over at Stamp, Ink, Paper... Designer's Choice!

I absolutely fell in love with the Geode Bundle at Concord & 9th from the moment I saw it!  My oldest son, Trent,  has always had a fascination with rocks since he was a little boy!  He's 39 years old and still loves rocks and especially geodes!  As soon as I saw this set I knew that I wanted it to make his birthday card!

Not only does Trent love Geodes but he really is a Rare Find.   He is currently living in Hawaii and has spent time in India, Mexico, and all over the world.   He loves adventure!  I wish you could see how gorgeous this card is in real life!  I used the new Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Cardstock in Graphite for the sentiment as well as the heart surround.  I know it's hard to tell on the heart but I die cut the heart shape and then hand cut the heart stamped image directly against the black embossing so that some of the glitter paper would show from around the edge.  The heart was stamped on Bristol Smooth cardstock and I used Zig Clean Color Markers to color in my geode.  The inside was watercolored in a lavender but I decided to use a pink glitter marker over it to add shimmer.

I finished off the inside with another tone-on-tone stamp of the geode.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from another set and of course I hope your day rocks is from the Geode bundle.  I know he will love it and I hope you do too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina
