A Paper Pumpkin Thing July 2017 Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing July 2017 Blog Hop!  Do you love card kits?  I know I do!  The Paper Pumpkin Kit is one of my favorites! Unlike most of the Bloggers on this hop, I am not a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator but I am a lover of all things Paper Pumpkin!   We have such a wonderful group of cardmakers on this Hop that love to inspire you!  If you landed here from Lori Mueller's fabulous blog, thanks so much for continuing on!  If you started with me, please make sure to hit the next button at the end of the post for lots of wonderful inspiration!

I decided to start off with a super simple card.  I'm learning to really enjoy some white space on cards and this was a perfect example of how less can be more!

I used the heart cut out panel from the kit but cut it down a bit until it measured 3 7/8 x 5 1/8".  I added to the  back of the heart a piece of Delightful Daisy DSP .  I then mounted the panel onto a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of  Tranquil Tide Cardstock which was mounted onto an A2 cardbase made with  Powder Pink Cardstock.  I pushed the "love" wood element from the kit into my Tranquil Tide Ink Pad to coat it with the Ink.  I had to do this 3 times to get the coverage that I wanted.  I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the wooden element.  I stamped the "you" from the stamp set in Tranquil Tide to finish this one off.   Such a pretty but simple card!

My next project was also super easy! If you've never made an Easel Card I have instructions on a previous post.. just click here!

I kept this one super simple.  I really think the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder was so pretty that I didn't want to take away from it too much.  My Easel Card Base was made of Dapper Denim Cardstock.  After adding the embossed 5 x 3 3/4" layer to the front of it, I added some Linen Thread with Stampin' Dimensionals.   The used the ink direct to paper technique to ink up in the heart in the kit with Dapper Denim Ink.   I adhered the "hooray" wood element from the kit with my fine tip glue pen.  I stamped the "it's your day" sentiment from the kit in Dapper Denim Ink onto a scrap piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock.    Finally I added a Post It Note Pad to the bottom of the Easel Card.

I hope you've enjoyed my card and project.  Next up is the Amazing Carolynn Sander's blog.  Just click the Nest button and you'll be there!

SIP #109 Sketch Challenge with FSJ Got You!

Hello and Happy Tuesday...which of course means Hump Day Eve!  lol  I've been so super busy that last weekend I just crashed on Saturday!  The only thing I was able to get done was to get this card made for the awesome new sketch challenge up over at Stamp, Ink, Paper.

I decided to use a fun new stamp set that I got as a Bloom Benefit for placing a $75 order at Fun Stampers Journey.  I LOVE bears so this one really spoke to me!

I adore this sketch!  Some of you may be suprised that I didn't make a shaker card since I love them so much but I really thought this one would be just perfect as a window card.  These bears are so adorable and I love the sentiment "I've got you covered" that comes with the stamp set.  I stamped the image with FSJ Black Licorice Fusion Ink and watercolored with a water brush and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I added a little bit of Journey Glaze to the umbrella and some of the little raindrops.
I used the Journey Squares Dies and the piercing element that comes with them to cut my window.  The blue paneled background is from FSJ Designer Choice Prints.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP #108 Fabulous Florals with Hero Arts July 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  What a day I had on Monday!  I went to work like any other Monday and around 10am I got a text from my son that they were having their baby today rather than next week as planned.  Apparently Ashleigh had been in labor all night and by the time she got to the hospital she was already dialated to about 7cm.  They had planned a C-Section for next Monday but Baby Beckett decided he was ready to meet the family!  My son was so happy and proud of his HUGE son.  Beckett weighed in a 10 lbs 3 oz and was 21" long!

He is one proud Daddy!!

So since today is Tuesday, that of course means it's time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!  This week's theme is Fabulous Florals!  How cool is that??

I decided to use my July 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit from Hero Arts and decided to go Clean and Simple with this one!

I used my favorite coloring method.. Distress Inks applied with an Aqua Painter onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  You can't get much more simple than that.  My card base was 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock.  I added a 3 3/4" x 5" layer of Black Cardstock and my watercolored layer of Bristol Smooth that measured 3 5/8" x 4 7/8".  I heat embossed both the floral image and the sentiment in black.  Embossing really helps me to stay within the lines with my watercoloring!  I added three Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon 4mm sequins and a small little natural thread bow to finish this one off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

OSAT Blog Hop - Very Vintage

Hello and Welcome to One Stamp At a Time's July 2017 Very Vintage Blog Hop!  If you have already been hopping you should have landed here from the Oh So Talented Melissa Davies' Blog and thanks so much for continuing on!  If you started with me, make sure you click the next button at the end of my post to check out all of the awesome inspiration this month!

I have to admit that I was a little stumped at first but as I googled vintage colors, cards, etc. I finally came up with an idea... thank goodness. lol

For my card I used the Love Paris Stamp Set from Fun Stampers Journey.  I love the vintagey look of the stamp, script, etc.  For the sentiment I used the FSJ Tag Elements stamp set along with the Tag This Cartridge with my Punch Handle.

I used Stampin' Up! Inks in Pear Pizzazz, Powder Pink and Soft Sky to stamp my background for both my card background and my Pillow Box.

My Cardbase was Stampin' Up! Powder Pink Cardstock that measured 11" x 4 1/4" and was scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card.  My stamped layer was Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock and measured 4" x 5 1/4" and was matted on a piece of SU Basic Black Cardstock that measured 4 1/8 x 5 3/8".  After I did my random stamping for the background, I matted the stamped layer and used some Natural Journey Thread to wrap it three times and added the Powder Pink Tag that had the "You are Special" sentiment stamped in FSJ Black Licorice Ink.    I stamped the Eiffel Tower in more of the FSJ Black Licorice Ink onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock.  I used my detail sheers to cut it out... about now I was wishing I had purchased the dies on this one. lol

PCC 251 New To You Challenge with FSJ June 2017 Bloom Box

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  Guess what?? It's time for another Paper Craft Crew Challenge and this is my All Time Favorite!  Why??  Because the Challenge is to use an item that is New to You and it can be one that you've had for a while and just not used!  Now that is right up my alley since I have sooo many stamp sets and/or kits that I have bought and NOT used! lol

Now I have to tell you that I seriously did not have a lot of time to throw something together and I really wanted to use something that did not have to be colored.  I looked around and then remembered that I have a set from Fun Stamper's Journey June Bloom Box that is just perfect!  If you know me at all, you know that there are two subjects that are my all time favorite for cardmaking... coffee and dogs.  lol  Well this one is about coffee!

I'm a little ashamed of just how easy this one was.  I started with an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock that was scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card.  I embossed a 4 7/8" x 3 5/8" piece of SU Pool Party Cardstock with my Tim Holtz Sizzix On the Go Texture Fades Embossing Folder.  I matted it with a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of SU Early Espresso Cardstock.  I created some light splatters with  Fun Stampers Journey Dark Roast Silk.  I ran some FSJ Natural Journey Thread around the panel three times and tied it in a bow on the left side of the card front.  I stamped my Cool Beans Image onto 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with SU Early Espresso Ink.  I used my sheers to cut out the squre image and attached it with FSJ Foam Squares onto the card front.  I then used more foam squares to attach the panel onto the white card base.   This was such a super easy card but turned out so super cute.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP Challenge #107 Tic-Tac-Toe with Flower Swirls by FSJ

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a fabulous start!  My weekends have been super busy the last few weeks as I've been enjoying some time with my beautiful granddaughters!  And then of course the weeks are always busy this time of year with my job.  I'm hoping to retire in about four years and maybe I can spend more time doing the things I love and crafting of course is one of them!

Well since today is Tuesday, that of course means it's time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!

I went horizontal on the top row on this board with Blue, Die Cut, and Twine.  I used a fun new Flower Swirls Bundle by Fun Stamper's Journey for my floral images on this one!

My background paper was from the FSJ Designer Choice Prints.  I adhered a full 4 1/4 " 5" panel of it to a Neenah Classic Solar White Card Base.  I heat embossed the sentiment from MFT You Give Me Butterflies Stamp Set.  The Flower Swirls were stamped onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock and loosely colored with Zig Clean Color Markers and blended with an Aqua Painter.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out once dry.  I added some splatters of FSJ Gold Silk. I added some Black Twine onto the cardfront with Foam Squares and adhered my flowers over the twine to finish this one off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP Challenge #106 Christmas in July with Hero Arts Merry & Bright Tag Set by Lia

Hello and Happy 4th of July!  I hope you are enjoying a day off and family time in celebration of this wonderful country and our freedoms!  Althougth things may not be perfect, we have so much to be grateful for!  Today we have one more thing to be grateful for.. .Stamp, Ink, Paper's Christmas in July theme challenge will give you a head start on your Christmas cards!  Yay for that!

I finally pulled out a super cute little Christmas stamp and die combo from Hero Arts called Merry & Bright Tag Set by Lia that I purchased from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store.  What a fun easy way to make a tag or in my case, a card!

This was so easy that I should be ashamed. lol  I used an 11" x 4 1/4" piece of 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card base.  I added a piece of SU Real Red Cardstock that measured 4 7/8" x 3 5/8".  My top layer is a 4 6/8" x 3 1/2" piece of 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.  I used a scrap piece of SU Garden Green Cardstock to cute out my tag.  I used Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder to emboss the Merry Christmas sentiment from the set in the center of the tag.  I used FSJ Medium and Small Foam Squares to pop it up on my top layer.  I had a small scrap of silver glitter ribbon that I used to tie a bow and then attached it to the top with a glue dot.  I finished this one off with 3 FSJ Fashion Silver Metalic dots.
