OSAT Blog Hop - All You Need is Love!

Can you believe it is already the 2nd Thursday in February??  Wow!  Time flies when you're having fun!  If you've already been hopping then you should have landed here from Elizabeth Jeanne's fabulous blog and you know this month's theme is All You Need is Love!  February is a very special month for me.  Not only is Valentine's Day in February but so is my anniversary!  Jeff and I wanted to get married on Valentine's Day in 2008 but we couldn't work out the details so we married on February 18th!  Here's something that you might not know about me... I'm terrible and I mean TERRIBLE at remembering dates!  Seriously it's a miracle that I can remember my own kid's birthdays.  Unfortunately Jeff has the same can't remember dates disease that I have.  Seriously for the first 3 years, we had to pull out the wedding license just to confirm the date of our anniversary.  I finally got it but it took me a while!  Lol   Here's another tidbit of info.. my first 2 grandchildren's birthdays have dates that I can always remember.  Taylor was born on 09-09-09 and Laken was born on 11-1-11.  I've always thought that God gave me those dates as a gift knowing how terrible my memory for dates is!

Well back to the manner at hand,  I decided to go with one of my favorite semi-new stamp sets from Concord and 9th called "You are Enough" because it is just so simple yet elegant.  What do you think of this gorgeous big bold flower?  I love it!

I made a card as well as a treat bag.  My daughter loves light pink and I think this will make a great Valentines Day card for her and of course I'll send her a little treat to go along with the card.

Now I'm going to tell you a secret.... white space is really hard for me.  I mean when someone else makes a clean and simple card with a lot of white space I LOVE it but for some reason they are difficult for me to make.  I resisted the urge to add more sequins because I really want to try to get this clean and simple thing down!  lol

I used the Stampin' Up! Mini Treatbag Thinlits for the treat bag as well as the words "for you".  It is a super set and  I'm so happy it's still current although I'll keep this die set long after it retires!

  3. Love the use of the dew drops. I, too, am challenged with leaving white space, but in doing so, really makes the image pop. Kudos for your creations!
