SIP Challenge #116 Clean and Simple Fall Card with Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit September 2017

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I waited until the last minute to make my SIP card this week which turned out to be a good thing... Why?? Because I received my Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit when I arrived home from work on Monday.  How cool was that?  It was perfect to make a clean and simple fall card.  The color layering pumpkins and sunflowers in the September kit are gorgeous!  I love clean and simple although it's not usually my style.  It was sure fun to try to make one and believe it or not, I actually made a one layer card.. Wow!  Can you believe it??  It you have an awesome idea for a Fall theme CAS card head on over to Stamp, Ink, Paper and link it up!

Here's my card using the largest pumpkin from the My Monthly Hero Kit..

I really did keep this one simple.  I started with an 11" x 4 1/4" Card Base of 110# Neenah Classic Solar White cardstock, scored at 5 1/2".  I used Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste and Brick Wall Stencil to add the brick texture on the bottom of the card.  I considered adding some Crumb Cake reinker to make the brick wall a little darker but I decided to go with white on white.  I may make another one with the reinker to see if I like it better!  I stamped the pumpkin, stem and leaves seperately on more of the 110# Neenah Classic Solar White.  The pumpkin was stamped with Stampin' Up! Peek-A-Boo Peach for the base and then used the Hero Arts small inks in Hero Arts Pumpkin Pie and Orange Soda for the details.  The stem was stamped in Hero Arts Pumpkin Pie and the detail was added in Cup O'Joe Ink.  The leaves were stamped in SU Pear Pizzazz Ink and the detail was added in SU Old Olive Ink.  I added the pumpkin with foam squares and then added the twine at the top and twirled the tails to hang down on the left side.  The sentiments in the set were curved but since I didn't want it to go around the pumpkin, I stretched it over a ruler until straight and then picked it up with the lid of my Misti.  I then stamped the Autumn Greetings sentiment in Hero Arts Cup O'Joe Ink straight on the upper right side of the card.  That was it!  I seriously thought about adding sequins.. but then said to myself... No!  Keep it Simple!  Why is that always so hard? lol

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina
