Hello and Happy Tuesday! It's been yet another strange week as I've spent quite a bit of time working from home again. This week should allow for a little more time at the office. Some days I wonder if things will ever really be "normal" again. I think we may have a new normal.
This week's Challenge at The Spot is a Color Challenge. Use Petal Pink, Gray Granite and a Metallic. My metallic was champagne rhinestones.. did I cheat? I hope not!
This one included some of my favorite things... Tone-onTone Stamping, The Ornate Style Bundle, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and Peaceful Moments Stamp Set!
I can't tell you how much I love Tone-on-Tone stamping for adding some interest to a card base. I stamped the Ornate Style large floral stamp in Gray Granite Ink on Gray Granite Cardstock on the upper left and lower right of the front of a 11 x 4 1/4" card base that was scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card. I die cut one of the Ornate Layers in Gray Granite and Added a Petal Pink largest Scalloped Rectangle layer from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. On a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped using Gray Granite Ink, the large Ornate Style floral stamp on the edge and added the "Happy Birthday" from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. I used the 2nd largest Scalloped Rectangle to cut the Whisper White. I colored in just the flowers with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends. I added it to the Petal Pink Cardstock Layer and then finished off the outside with 3 Champagne Rhinestones Basic Jewels.
Here's the Inside....
The inside sentiment is also from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and was stamped in Gray Granite onto more Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the Ornate Style large floral image on the left side and added just a bit of coloring with the Petal Pink Blends to the flowers. I then cut out the layer with the largest of the Stitched Rectangle fromt the Stiched So Sweetly Dies again.
This was a beautiful, yet simple, card to create. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings, Tina
