OSAT Blog Hop - Don't Go Breaking My Heart

Hello and Welcome to the February OSAT Blog Hop.  If you've already been hopping then you know we are riding along with a Love theme this month a.k.a. Don't Go Breaking My Heart!  Honestly.. February really is the month of love, right?  Not only is the 14th Valentine's Day but February 18th is my Anniversary!  Jeff and I will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary this year and it seems like it has really just flown by!  I think the saying goes "Time flies when you're having fun".. well we certainly have been having a lot of fun.  It is certainly nice to have a wonderful life partner!

Well back to the Hop at hand....I really wanted to use something out of the Annual Catalog for my card and after doing a quick inventory of my stamps, it seemed a hands down decision to use the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and the Up and Away Thinlits Dies!

I went simple with my color scheme.. Real Red, Pacific Point, Soft Sky, and Whsiper White.

Here's the front of the box with the card.. I wanted to add a tag but with the tag on the front, it hides the "Love You" oval so I added the tag to the other side.

I felt like the color combination and the addition of the striped ribbon to the box made it feel a bit more masculine.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please make sure to stop by all of blogs for lots of inspiration.  If you are interested in any of the products used, I'll have links below the Blog Roll!

Blessings, Tina

OSAT Blog Hop - Fall/Halloween!

Hello and Happy Thursday... and yes, almost Friday!  Woo Hoo!  I'm hopping with a bunch of super creative friends today for One Stamp At A Time's Fall Halloween Blog Hop!  If you're ready for some awesome Fall and Halloween inspiration you'll want to be sure to hop all the way through!   If you've already been hopping, you should have landed here from the fabulous Kelly Acheson's Blog and thank you for continuing on!

I decided to finally use a Stampin' Up! stamp set that has been in my collection since last year but not inked up yet.. Foxy Friends!  It has an awesome coordinating Fox Builder Punch.  Here's what I came up with for my card......

I love all of the creatures that can be made with the Foxy Friends stamp set... so many options!  I thought the sign was a great way to showcase the sentiment and it gave me a chance to add a little cardinal!  My husband and I love birds and cardinals are out favorite!  The adorable Keep Calm and Give Thanks Sentiment was from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit and I know I'll be using it a lot!

And here is what I came up with for a coordinating project....

I picked up this adorable little 5" x 7" shadow box that can used with seasonal projects.  I loved the sentiment "gather together & give thanks" from the Painted Harvest stamp set!  It's one of my favorites!  You'll notice I snuck a couple of cardinals in this one as well! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  If you'll click the next button you'll land at Dena Rekow's Creativity Cave!  Dena is one of my all time favorite stampers and I LOVE her videos on You Tube!  If you don't subscribe, you should!  She is unbelievably creative!!

Just For Fun.. Beautiful Happiness FSJ

Random Post.. lol  I have been playing around with the Fun Stamper's Journey Beautiful Happiness Stamp set.  It is super fun with lots of great sentiments.  Here's a card and small shadowbox framed art I made.  I know it's a little wild.. but I like it. lol  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks for all of my coloring and ink blending.  The Cardstock is Bristol Smooth Cardstock since it handles the water well.  The sentiments were stamped in Versafine Tuxedo Black ink and then clear embossed.

Have a wonderful weekend!  Blessings, Tina

SIP #99 - Packaging K-Cup Holder

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend and if you are a Mom, I hope you had an awesome Mother's Day!  We have a wonderful weekend and as always, they are too short!  Today I'm back with a Design Team Project for Stamp, Ink, Paper for a Packaging Theme Challenge!

I finally found directions for a project I've wanted to make for a while now....a K-Cup Holder!

I had searched Pinterest for a K-Cup Holder for a while and finally found one.  Instead of giving you directions myself, I'll send you to the blog of Ruth Norton at Ruth's Stamping Corner.    For directions from Ruth Norton's Blog click here!  On mine I used Fun Stamper's Journey Watermelon Fusion Cardstock and Doodlebug Cream and Sugar Patterned Paper.  The circle was cut from Stampin' Up! Stitched Shape Framelits.  I added some Doodlebug Latte Love Sprinkles Shapes to my stitched circle.  The ribbon was from my endless stash.  I think it turned out super cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

SIP Challenge #66 - Anything But a Card!

Hello and Happy Tuesday again!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I had a craft fair last weekend and have two more coming up this Saturday and the next!  Today's challenge at Stamp, Ink, Paper is a super fun one.. Anything But a Card!!!

http://stampinkpaper.com/2016/09/sip-challenge-66-anything-but-a-card/

Have you ever made a mistake and it turned into something cool!  Well that is exactly what I did on this project!  I was scoring and cutting some 12x12" cardstock to make One Sheet Wonder Mini Albums and I made a cut someplace where I should have scored!  Ugh!  Not to worry.. I decided to make a triple gift card or tag holder!

So here you see the front of the gift card holder.  Luckily I had some retired DSP with Mooses on it to go perfectly with the Moose Head from the Jolly Friends Stamp Set.  The sentiment on the front is front the Santa's Sleigh stamp set.

For a closure, I used BasicGrey Small Magnetic Snaps.

As the gift card holder unfolds, you see the inside sentiment, also from the Santa's Sleigh stamp set.  You will also see the first gift card pocket.

And as you completely unfold it, you will see all 3 gift card or tag pockets!

So see, sometimes when you make a wrong cut, it all works out wonderfully!  lol  I am happy to get some use out of some of my retired DSP.   At the end of this post is a list of all of the current Stampin' Up! products used as well as directions!  Thank's so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

Directions

Score a piece of 12x12 cardstock on one side at 2 3/8" and 7 1/4"
Rotate and score the next side at 3 7/8", 4 1/8", 8" and 8 1/4"
Use your bone folder on all of the score lines so that they will easily fold.
When you look at the cardstock, you will see 3 short sides (for the flaps) and 6 rectangles that are approximately the same size.
Cut off the 1st of 3rd small flap rectangles.
Cut between the 1st and 2nd bottom rectangles and the 2nd and 3rd bottom rectangles to make the larger flaps that will fold up to make the pockets
Cut off about 1 1/2" from the bottom rectangles and use a circle punch to punch a dip in each of those three rectangles.
Use a strong glue or tear tape to adhere the sides of the bottom rectangles when you fold them up to create your pockets.  I used tear tape and it worked very well!
Decorate as little or much as you want to.

OSAT Shabby Chic Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the July 2016 One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop!  If you've already been hopping then you landed here from my sweet friend, Megan Thompson's blog and you should know that we have a Shabby Chic theme this month!  I can tell you that this is my very first Shabby Chic card and project but I had a lot of fun making it so let's take a look and see what you think....

Here's a better look at the card..

I used an A2 Crumb Cake cardbase.  I added a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of Chocolate Chip Cardstock on that for a thin layer.  The top layer is a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Blushing Bride cardstock that was embossed with a Woodgrain Embossing folder and sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  I added some Crumb Cake splatters as well and then I distressed some of the edges by peeling them back.  I added a Brown piece of Seam Binding along the left side of the top layer before adhering it to the other layers.  I attached a Brown Seam Binding bow and some Linen Thread loops to the bowl.  I used my Lots of Label Framelit Dies to cut a Crumb Cake Label and a larger Chocolate Chip Label.  I stamped the Crumb Cake Label with the leave stamp from the Grateful Bunch in Crumb Cake and then added the sentiment "You are loved (A LOT)" stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink.  I sponged the edges of the labels Tone-on-Tone.  I glued the labels down and then added flowers stamped with the Grateful Bunch stamp set in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride Cardstock.  I sponged all of the edges and then used my Bone Folder to curl the edges up.  I layered them using glue dots and adhered them with glue dots as well.  I added basic pearl jewels in the middle of the flowers and even scattered a few on the card front.

Here is the inside of my card.. I decided to keep the inside simple.

The inside was a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I stamped two of the leaves in Crumb Cake Ink and added the butterfly in Blushing Bride.  Both of these images are from the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set as well.

The frame was just a $1.00 craft frame from Michael's and I love the way it turned out.  I will probably add a picture of my new little granddaughter, Blakely Addison Rose!

I  used Modge Podge to cover the craft frame with Tip Top Taupe DSP from the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.  After the glue had dried I sponged the edges and distressed it some with Soft Suede Ink.  I used some Brown Seam Binding along the left side with a bow and some loops of Linen thread.  My flowers from the Grateful Bunch were stamped in Soft Suede Ink and punched from Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride Cardstock.  I also added a Pansy Punch cardstock layer behind some of the flowers and sponged it as well as the other flowers.  I also used my Bone Folder to curl up the edges of all of the flowers before assembling with Dimensionals.   The leaves from the Botanical Blooms stamp set were stamped Tone-on-Tone with Mint Macaron Ink and Cardstock and sponged with Soft Suede Ink.  The flowers were added onto the frame with Foam tape and the leaves were adhered with glue dots.  I finished off the flowers by adding more Pearl basic jewels in the center!

Next up on the hop is the Amazing Melissa Davies!  Just click the next button and you'll be there!
