The Gangs All Meer Birthday Card

Hellooooo weekend!  I'm so happy for a lazy Saturday morning.  Jeff and I will be meeting my son, Wayne and his boys for his Birthday dinner later today!  I did some searching for Masculine cards on Pinterest this morning and after looking at quite a few of them, I decided I could come up with something on my own just as well.  I think if Wayne liked to fish, or golf, or hunt, it would be easier!  Ugh!  I looked through some of my newer stamp sets and decided to use the Gangs All Meer Stamp Set.  I guess cute little animals will work for any birthday!

I stamped thse three adorable little images in a row using Versafine Black Ink because it's waterproof.  I used my ink pads and Aqua Painter to watercolor the picture in.  The ink colors used were Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Gray Granite, Soft Suede, and Pool Party.  As you'll notice I cut my Happy Birthday to a Standup Friend sentiment into two pieces so I could just use the Happy Birthday.  I used a Black Stampin' Write Marker to connect the ground once the watercolor panel dried.  I backed it with a thin matt of Soft Suede Cardstock and then ran some twine around the bottom of the panel. I stamped the hate on a scrap of cardstock and fussy cut it to fit on the cute little Meercat's head.   I found some aztec-look retired DSP and used it for a background on my Soft Suede Cardbase.  I loved the way that it turned out.

Now for the inside....

I kept the inside really simple by stamping the little cactus in the lower right corner.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used my stampin' Blends to color it in.  This will leave me lots of room to write a personal message.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings, Tina

Grown with Kindness - A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Feburary 2019 A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop "Grown with Kindness".  I don't know about you but I absolutely adored this Paper Pumpkin Kit!  The succulents on the Patterned Paper were gorgeous and those stamps were absolutely awesome!  If you haven't already seen this adorable kit, take a look at the graphic below.. It's a thing of beauty!!

I adore these cards just as made but I did come up with a couple of options for you.

Here's a look at both of my alternate cards..

I can't say enough about that beautiful succulent in the cup stamp that came in the kit!

Isn't this cup image amazing??  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used my Stampin' Blends to color it in!

The patterned paper used on the above card was sooo pretty that I didn't want to take away from it.  I added the "YOU" and "can do incredible things" from the kit stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then restamped in Versamark and clear heat embossed it!  Thanks goodness for my Stamparatus so that I could stamp with versamark in the exact same place!

PCC302 Sketch Challenge Concord & 9th Stuck On You Bundle

Hello and Happy Hump Day!  So I did a thing I haven't done in a couple of weeks..... I finally got back over with my friends at Paper Craft Crew and made a design team card for a challenge!  Yep... I know I've been M.I.A. for a while but I'm trying to get back in the groove.

I decided to go with a pretty simple card again.  I am still in love with my Concord & 9th Stuck On You Bundle.  I love all things cacti... :)

I ALWAYS need birthday cards and I'm really trying to build up my card supply so I went this the Hope Your Birthday Is On Point sentiment!  :)  I did a little Distress Ink Blending on my background and layered in a planter and cactus that I had previously made and stashed in my stamp bundle pocket.  Do you do that?  I love to make multiples and then stash the extras away with my stamp set.  It sure makes quick cardmaking easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Blessings, Tina
